Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
The ideal candidate will be action oriented, and able to quickly drive decisions and growth. Must have a strong understanding of both Sales and Marketing functions and capable of functioning in highly entrepreneurial environment. Direct mail and printing background required. The Marketing Director will work with internal and external clients to understand market trends, discover and document unmet and under-served customer and market needs, define marketing strategies and execute a marketing plan. This is a full-time position in the Jacksonville office working 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with up to an hour for lunch.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Communications & Collateral: Ensure consistent communication to all current and prospective clients to include management of, but not limited to, website, e-newsletter, email blasts and direct mail marketing. Responsible for writing, designing, producing and distributing of all marketing collateral.
Social Media: Establish presence, define strategy and effectively manage viral marketing/PR (Linked In, Facebook, Instagram).
Events Coordination: Responsible for logistics, development and planning of marketing materials, registration of company attendees, shipping and admin tasks for all events the company attends.
Marketing Strategy: Develop short term and long term plans and budget for marketing/communications/PR program; monitor progress and evaluate performance for all lead generation and client/prospect communications.
Trends, Industry Insights: Become the go-to person for all trends impacting the direct mail industry and integrate industry developments to communicate to existing and new customers. Responsible for all market and customer research; plan and coordinate efforts across product lines to drive insights for promotions, positioning and other market initiatives. Evaluate USPS annual promotions and assist sales in identifying which promotions match clients projects.
Sales Support & Training: Support sales with marketing insights, messages, ads etc. to create product promotions, pricing and assist sales with articulating the benefits of the full breath of the product line. Conduct comprehensive training programs on omnichannel methodologies, value-based selling, and sales techniques along with the sales tools. Participate in client-facing calls to model consultative selling approaches and provide expertise.
Strategic Partnership Development: Collaborate with leading omnichannel platform providers to leverage proven methodologies and advanced marketing technologies. Attend industry training programs and certification courses to maintain expertise in evolving platforms and best practices. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and partners to enhance service offerings.
Discovery-Based Client Consultation & ROI Development: Lead discovery conversations using strategic questioning techniques to uncover client pain points and objectives. Analyze existing client campaigns to identify omnichannel enhancement opportunities. Develop comprehensive ROI projections demonstrating measurable performance improvements (typically 12-30% lifts). Present data-driven business cases that shift conversations from cost-per-piece to revenue generation
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in business plus experience in Sales Management, or 3-5 years Director of Sales Experience in Print/Mail/Advertising required.
Physical Demands
Full time position onsite in the Jacksonville office; occasional weekends attending conference/conventions. Occasional travel is required to visit accounts locally and nationally as well as attending conferences as needed.
