The Florida STEM & Health Expo 2025
The Florida STEM & Health Expo is an annual event that brings together students, educators, professionals, and families for a hands-on, interactive experience in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and health. This free, one-day expo offers students the opportunity to showcase their projects while engaging the Jacksonville community with live demonstrations, robotics, medical experts, and more.
This year’s event, held on February 8, 2025, at River City Science Academy Innovation. Saturday was the biggest expo yet—with over 6,500 attendees! We were honored to be part of the event which was a tremendous success!

A Unique Approach to STEM Education
Unlike traditional county science fairs, the Florida STEM & Health Expo is a high-energy, hands-on event. This is designed to ignite curiosity and passion for STEM fields. It provides a platform for students across six River City Science Academy campuses to present their scientific work in a fun, engaging, and non-competitive environment.
A Day Filled with Innovation and Hands-On Learning
The Florida STEM & Health Expo was designed to spark curiosity and excitement in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and health. This free community event brought together thousands of students, educators, industry professionals, and families to explore the real-world applications of STEM through interactive exhibits and engaging demonstrations.
Exciting Exhibits and Interactive Demonstrations
🔬 Live Science Experiments – Attendees witnessed chemistry in action with thrilling demonstrations. These demonstrations included elephant toothpaste explosions, liquid nitrogen experiments, and robotics challenges. The use of hands-on displays helped students connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
🤖 Robotics and Engineering – The expo featured cutting-edge robotics exhibits where students could control drones, test self-driving cars, and interact with AI-powered machines. Local engineering teams showcased their latest projects, inspiring young minds to explore careers in technology and automation.
💡 Health & Medical Science – Future healthcare professionals had the chance to explore medical technology, human anatomy models, and hands-on CPR training. Experts from the medical community shared insights on biotechnology, nutrition, and public health.
🚀 Space & Physics Exploration – Attendees engaged with astronomy stations, rocket-building workshops, and virtual reality space simulations, offering an exciting look at the future of space exploration.
🛍️ Children’s Entrepreneur Market – New to this year’s expo was a kid-run marketplace! Young entrepreneurs displayed and sold a wide variety of handmade products. This initiative combined STEM education with business skills, teaching students about marketing, budgeting, and product development.
🎭 STEM in the Arts – Science and creativity came together in exhibits showcasing 3D printing, digital design, and interactive art installations that demonstrated the crossover between technology and artistic expression.
With such a diverse range of activities, the Florida STEM & Health Expo proved to be an exciting platform for hands-on learning and community engagement, inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, and innovators.
